In the clinic

Our products are enhanced by the following precautions.

Impressions

  • PVS impressions were rinsed and disinfected
  • Alginates rinsed, disinfect, poured asap
  • Allow stone to set at least 30 minutes before removing from alginate

Occlusal Records

  • PVS material for closed bite records for crown and bridge restorations

Margins

  • All finish lines are clear and visible for crown and bridgework fabrication
  • Pindan Dental recommends the use of the double retraction cord technique in most cases and smooth margins for restorations

Adequate Room for Materials?

  • Ensure adequate space is provided for axially, labially, and occlusion
  • Knowing your dental materials is essential to getting the most out of your dental laboratory experience

All clinicians would agree that knowing the prescribed dental materials is essential to get the optimum result for the patient. Material knowledge also enhances the dental laboratory experience. There are indications and limitations to the various restorative materials on offer, in addition to new products entering the market over time. It is difficult for the Laboratory to manage the aesthetic outcome of a case where insufficient room for materials is given. Pindan Dental provides consulting services on material selection and innovations in materials upon request.

 Temporary Crowns

  • Spend time on your temporary crowns

Temporary crowns that are well made minimize chairside adjustments when inserting the final restoration.

Shades and Laboratory Forms

The integration of photos or videos from the Clinic to the Laboratory via Pindan Dental’s dropbox network ensures the optimum aesthetic outcome for dental cases. Ensuring shade tabs are visible with specific characterizations identified optimizes the final product. Explicit instructions on the lab prescription form are essential.
